Rough roads can lead you somewhere lovely.
Sometimes the universe sends you in directions you didn’t anticipate, sometimes the roads are rough and you feel scared of what’s ahead. But what if, up hill and around the bend, it’s absolutely lovely?
Often determination to keep going is rewarded. The key is to use your intuition and know when to turn around so you don’t put yourself in true danger. I think this comes from practice. Learning to trust your instincts, your abilities and what you’re ready for.
When I am feeling scared of the road ahead, I pause. I regulate myself, I tune into what is real and what is perceived as a threat. Recently, I was faced with this challenge and opportunity to regulate and find myself perched on top a hillside that had glorious views where I could hang my hammock and bask in the knowing that I am safe, I am well, and I am growing more and more in trusting my intuition and my abilities to navigate in a world that used to be scary to me. In a world that is actually lovely.
You might miss it.
Perceived fear might hold you back from seeing the bigger picture, the view from the top, the loveliness that can be experienced. Regulating can help you move forward just beyond your safe zone to experience something beautiful.
